WHAT COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS ARE
AND WHAT THEY ARE NOT

Most Americans are thoughtful, caring and generous. However, increasingly, a wall separates us from the world outside, and from others who have taken refuge in their own private sanctuaries.

The current reality is that the resolve of those who have always supported our public institutions is beginning to weaken. And as a result, we are becoming a divided nation.

The Community Partnership Initiative is a way to bring us together. It is a way for 500 to 1,000 or more citizens representing a wide range of viewpoints to come together and address what this loss of support means to our schools, to our communities and to our democracy.

While a Community Partnership is often initiated by a group or organization, to be sustained it must be supported by the entire community. As a community-wide network of citizens, a Community Partnership creates an environment in which citizens are able to identify issues and concerns, discuss them in an open and civil manner and fiwnd solutions to the challenges that are facing them.

  5. Temporary
  6. Another special interest group
